Description

Authentic legal document featuring the handwritten name of Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865), one of the most significant figures in American history, presented in an artist-designed presentation.

The document is dated February 8, 1859 (Springfield, Illinois) and originates from the Sangamon County Court. It records the receipt of redemption payments and taxes for three city lots. The document states that the payment was made on behalf of Mary L. Bullock by Abraham Lincoln, acting as her legal representative.

Lincoln’s name is written by his own hand, confirming his direct involvement in legal matters during his practice in Springfield.

The document is signed by Court Clerk Noah W. Matney and bears the original blind seal. It belongs to a significant period shortly after the Lincoln–Douglas debates and before his nomination as President of the United States.

The piece is presented in a wooden frame with museum glass and accompanied by a portrait, ensuring both preservation and display quality.

A rare historical artifact and an exceptional gift for collectors and those interested in law and political history.
