BOXING LEGENDS 1940s–1970s

This presentation brings together the autographs of four distinguished figures in boxing history: Ingemar Johansson, Chuck Wepner, Jake LaMotta, and Carmen Basilio. Each represents a different chapter in the development of professional boxing and remains closely associated with some of the sport’s most memorable moments.

Ingemar Johansson became the first Swedish heavyweight world champion, while Carmen Basilio established himself as one of the defining champions of the 1950s. Jake LaMotta, remembered as the legendary “Raging Bull,” inspired one of the most celebrated sports films ever made. Chuck Wepner earned his place in boxing folklore through his remarkable fight against Muhammad Ali and later became the inspiration behind the Rocky character.
