Finished second in the championship four times. After finishing his career as a racing driver, he created his own team “Prost Grand Prix”, which existed from 1997 to 2001, without achieving significant results. Alain Prost is considered one of the best Formula 1 drivers in its entire history. For his careful style of aerobatics and calculating racing strategy, he received the nickname “Professor”. At one time, he set records for the number of victories, best laps, points and podiums. In the 2000s, almost all of his records were broken by Michael Schumacher, and in the 2010s by Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, so Prost remains fourth in most absolute indicators. The most striking period in Alain Prost’s career is considered to be his rivalry with his partner McLaren team by Ayrton Senna. This opposition gave rise to the idiom: “Speed is impressive, but accuracy wins.” Despite the large number of scandals and quarrels caused by this rivalry, by the end of their careers the two champions had a completely neutral relationship. From 2003 to 2013, he participated in the French Andros Trophy ice race, winning 38 races and winning three championship titles (2008 , 2009, 2013). Since 2014, he has been managing the Formula E team - Renault-e.dams.
