He was a Nazi war crimes investigator after World War II and the chief prosecutor for the United States Army at the Einsatzgruppen Trial, one of twelve war trials held in Nuremberg, Germany, for Nazi criminals. He later became a supporter of the establishment of international law and order and the International Criminal Court. From 1985 to 1996, Ferenc was an associate professor of international law at Pace University.
