Spent more than 20 seasons in the NHL and VHA, winning the Stanley Cup as part of the Chicago Black Hawks in the 1960/1961 season and the VHA champion in the 1975/1976 and 1977/1978 seasons with the Winnipeg Jets. Participant of 12 NHL All-Star games from 1960 to 1972, a player of the Canadian national team in the Super Series in 1974, the winner of the Canada Cup in 1976. Three-time winner of the Art Ross Trophy (1960, 1962, 1966), two-time winner of the Hart Memorial Trophy (1965, 1966) and the Gary Davidson Award (1973, 1975), winner of the Lady Byng Trophy (1965), Hockey Hall of Fame (1983) and Canadian Sports Hall of Fame (1988), Officer of the Order of Canada (1978).
