Boris Leonidovich Pasternak (1890 - 1960) - Russian poet, writer and translator. One of the greatest Russian poets of the 20th century. He published his first poems at the age of 23. In 1955, he finished the novel Doctor Zhivago, for which three years later he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, after which he was subjected to bullying and persecution by the Soviet government and several colleagues and was forced to refuse the prize.
