Dennis Bergkamp (born 10 May 1969 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch footballer and former manager. Named after Manchester United legend Denis Law, the second "n" was added because his name would have sounded too similar to the female name Denise. Bergkamp played for Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal at club level. He also played for the Netherlands national team. He preferred to play as a wide forward, where he displayed his excellent vision, footballing acumen and passing ability.
