Certified Authentic autograph on the photo. George Carlin (1937-2008) - American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, screenwriter, producer, winner of four Grammy Awards and the Mark Twain Award. Author of 5 books and more than 20 music albums, starred in 16 films. Carlin was known for his political insight, dark humor, linguistic observations, as well as statements on psychology, and religion, and monologues on many sensitive topics. Carlin and his comedy routine "Seven Dirty Words" were caught up in a US Supreme Court case called FCC v. Pacifica Foundation. In 1978, by a vote of five to four, the court upheld the government's right to regulate the broadcast of obscene material on government-owned airwaves.
