Description

An authentic signed document by Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945), the 32nd President of the United States, created during his tenure as Governor of New York, and presented inan artist-designed presentation. The work is accompanied by one of his most iconic historical quotes.

The document is dated November 19, 1930 (Albany, New York) and executed on official State of New York, Executive Chamber letterhead. The letter was prepared by Secretary Guernsey T. Cross and addressed to Governor Roosevelt. In the lower portion, Roosevelt added a handwritten executive resolution in pencil: “Jim > This is OK – Go ahead if not already done > FDR”, demonstrating his direct involvement in administrative decisions.

This period of governorship (1929–1932) represents a key stage in Roosevelt’s political development.

The document is presented in a classic wooden frame together with a portrait and protected by museum glass.

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

Signed documents from this period are rare and highly collectible. The piece represents both a historical artifact and a meaningful gift for collectors and those interested in politics.
