Certified Authentic autograph on postcard (C 655). Carolyn Davidson (1943). The Swoosh logo was created in 1971 by Portland State University design student Carolyn Davidson. She met Phil Knight while he was teaching an accounting course and began freelancing for his company, Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS). Davidson provided an invoice for $35 for her work.
