Description
An impressive and visually striking 30x40 serigraphed limited edition color edition entitled "The Book", number 345/375, Japan edition, signed in pencil on the bottom border by Michael Jackson and artist Brett-Livingston Strong. In great condition. Strong, one of Jackson's close friends who shared the musician's sophisticated style and flair, was also a world-renowned architect, sculptor and painter. He completed the painting containing this serigraph in 1990. This original painting was created for a Japanese businessman who paid Jackson $2.1 million to sit for Strong. The portrait - the only one the late performer ever sat in in his life - is installed in Neverland and depicts Jackson dressed in red velvet, holding a journal of thoughts and sketches of "The Book." A huge portrait of the “King of Pop,” the man Jackson once called “a modern-day Michelangelo.” Certified Authentic autograph on the serigraphic print "The Book" (3).
