Roberto Baggio (born 18 February 1967 in Caldogno, Veneto, Italy) is an Italian footballer. He played as a striker and playmaker. He is considered one of the greatest players in the history of football. He played for Italian clubs throughout his career, including all three major clubs - Juventus, Milan and Inter. He is ranked 16th (first among Italians) among the 100 greatest footballers of the 20th century by World Soccer magazine.[4] On 4 March 2004, Pelé was named to the FIFA 100. According to an online poll by FIFA, he is the fourth greatest player of the 20th century, after Maradona, Pelé and Eusebio.[5] He is the only player in the history of the Italian national team to score in three World Cups, in 1990, 1994 and 1998. In 1993, he won the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year. He is the fifth-highest scorer in Serie A history and the fourth-highest scorer in the history of the Italian national team. He has played 700 official matches and scored 318 goals.
