Founded more than 70 companies, including Fairchild Aircraft, Fairchild Industries, Fairchild Aviation Corporation and Fairchild Camera and Instrument (the latter played a decisive role in the development of Silicon Valley). Introduced new technologies for aerial cameras, which were later used in the Apollo space program.
