Certified Authentic autograph in book. Theodore Dreiser (1871-1945). American writer and public figure. In November 1932, Dreiser entered into a contract with Paramount to produce a film based on the novel Jenny Gerhardt. In 1944, the American Academy of Arts and Letters awarded Dreiser an honorary gold medal for excellence in the arts and letters. In 1930, Dreiser was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature. The prize was awarded by a majority vote to the writer Sinclair Lewis. In May 1931, Dreiser’s autobiographical book “Dawn” was published, where he described his childhood and youth.
