Description

Certified Authentic autograph in the book "Nach dem Kriege". (W 323) Winston S.Churchill 1930 This is the 5th volume of the book "World Crisis" - the memoirs of Sir W. Churchill. This volume covers the development of the terms of the peace treaty of Versailles, the demobilization of the British army, and a description of the post-war situation in the main countries. All 6 volumes are one of the most important historical documents dedicated to the First World War. None of the serious studies of this period can do without references to the long-term work of one of the most significant political figures of the 20th century dedicated to the post-war period. Winston Churchill (1874-1965). British statesman and politician, Prime Minister of Great Britain in 1940-1945 and 1951-1955; military man (colonel), journalist, writer, honorary member of the British Academy (1952), Nobel Prize laureate in literature (1953). According to a poll conducted in 2002 by the BBC, he was named the greatest Briton in history. His three speeches delivered in Parliament in 1940 are considered classic works of oratory and the pinnacle of Churchill’s oratory. First speech as prime minister, May 13, known as “Blood, Sweat and Tears.” Speaking on June 4 after Dunkirk, Churchill, in a speech that went down in history as “We shall fight on the beaches,” again expressed the nation’s unyielding will to fight and win. Finally, on June 18, speaking about the surrender of France , Churchill called on the British to behave in such a way that this time would be considered the finest hour of the nation for centuries (the speech “Their finest hour.”). The author of the project is Alexander Krilov.
