Jack Lemmon (1925-2001). An American actor, distinguished by an unusually wide range of roles played - from poignant to tragic. Lemmon was nominated for an Oscar eight times and for the first time in history won this award in both acting categories - for a leading role (1973) and for a supporting role (1955). The jury of the Cannes Film Festival twice recognized him as best actor - in 1979 and 1982. Having played in almost 100 feature-length and television films, Lemmon became one of the most popular actors in the United States, where he was even called the “divine clown.” World fame and an Oscar nomination came to him soon after the release of the famous comedy Some Like It Hot, where the actor teamed up with Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis.

Tony Curtis (1925-2010). American actor who enjoyed wide popularity in the late 1950s and early 1960s. However, the most striking page in his film biography was his role in the legendary comedy “Some Like It Hot” (1959). After the success of this film, Curtis's career took a serious turn towards comedy, but he could not regain his former popularity.
