Description

A collectible composition dedicated to Boris Akunin — writer, essayist and author of the celebrated series of historical detective novels featuring Erast Fandorin. The display combines the writer’s autograph, his portrait and the translated quotation: “A man doesn’t say ‘thank you.’ A man does ‘thank you.’”

The literary name Boris Akunin became widely known through “The Adventures of Erast Fandorin,” a series combining detective intrigue with historical settings, literary stylisation and the atmosphere of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Among the best-known novels in the series are “Azazel,” “The Turkish Gambit,” “Leviathan,” “The Death of Achilles” and “The State Counsellor.”

The portrait forms the visual centre of the composition and is complemented by the separately displayed autograph and a plaque bearing the quotation. Dark mounting and a restrained frame create an elegant presentation that focuses attention on the author and his signature.

A complete collectible display for admirers of literature, historical detective fiction and memorabilia associated with the work of Boris Akunin.
