DAVID BEN-GURION (1886–1973)

An autograph of David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel and one of the central figures in the establishment of the modern State of Israel. The signature is presented alongside a formal portrait of Ben-Gurion with the Israeli flag and the quotation: “If an expert says it’s impossible, contact another expert.” Ben-Gurion served as Prime Minister in 1948–1954 and again in 1955–1963.

His name is inseparable from Israel’s declaration of independence on May 14, 1948, and the formation of the country’s principal state institutions. An autograph associated with a historical figure of this significance extends beyond the personal signature itself, serving as a tangible document of twentieth-century political history.

The original signature is individually mounted beneath the portrait. A metal plaque bearing Ben-Gurion’s name and quotation completes the composition.
