Description
A collectible presentation dedicated to Henry Heimlich, the American physician whose name entered medical history through the emergency choking-rescue technique known worldwide as the Heimlich maneuver.
The centerpiece of the display is an original Henry Heimlich autograph, inscribed on an illustrated instructional sheet explaining the Heimlich maneuver. It is presented alongside a portrait of the physician, bringing together a piece of personal memorabilia and the history of one of the best-known first-aid techniques of the 20th century.
The composition is given additional meaning by Henry Heimlich’s words: “If everybody in the world put their arms around another person to learn how to save their life, then we would have peace forever.” The quotation has a particularly symbolic connection with the Heimlich maneuver: a movement of the arms resembling an embrace can, at a critical moment, become a lifesaving action.
The autograph, historical illustrated instruction sheet, portrait and quotation are brought together in a single composition and professionally presented in a frame. A distinctive collectible at the intersection of medical history, science and humanitarian achievement, honoring a man whose name became synonymous with saving lives.
