Description

The sculpture “Crown of Thorns”, created in 2026 in Ukraine, is a mixed media work presented in an artist-designed presentation. It represents a contemporary interpretation of sacred imagery combined with a philosophical perspective.

At the center is a symbolic yet deeply human image of Christ. The face is calm and composed, free from outward dramatization. The closed eyes reflect a state of inner presence and balance.

Surrounding the head is a complex structure of dark metal, reinterpreting the traditional crown of thorns as a labyrinth. The interwoven forms reflect the tension, choice, and inner struggle of the modern world.

Within this visual complexity, a contrast emerges: silence, stillness, and light. The work transcends purely religious meaning, addressing universal themes of dignity, resilience, and inner strength.

The sculpture is intended for a viewer who values meaning and conceptual depth, and functions as a collectible work of contemporary art.
