The sculpture “Warrior and Philosopher”, created in 2023, is executed in mixed media: chamotte, modeling, and ceramic glaze. The work explores the duality of human nature through the combination of two archetypes — strength and thought, action and contemplation.
The composition is built on the tension between these two states: the warrior embodies determination, willpower, and readiness for action, while the philosopher represents reflection, awareness, and inner depth. Rather than opposing each other, these elements form a unified whole.
The plasticity of form emphasizes this internal dialogue, while the material retains a tactile presence and symbolic abstraction. The ceramic glaze enhances the surface with depth and visual intensity.
The work serves as a conceptual reflection on the balance between force and consciousness, suggesting that true integrity arises from their unity.
