Vadym Gutzeit’s autograph on a photograph capturing the athlete at an emotionally charged moment during a fencing bout. The signature, executed in silver marker, is positioned in the upper part of the image. The photograph is presented in an artist-designed presentation by Krilov Art, with contrasting matting, a restrained frame and a name plaque forming a coherent collectible composition.

Vadym Gutzeit is a Ukrainian sabre fencer and Olympic champion. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, he won the gold medal in the men’s team sabre as a member of the Unified Team. Gutzeit later represented Ukraine at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and the 2000 Games in Sydney.

Following his competitive career, Gutzeit continued his involvement in fencing as a coach and sports official. From 2002 to 2010, he served as head coach of Ukraine’s national fencing team; under his leadership, the Ukrainian women’s sabre team won Olympic gold in Beijing in 2008.

The combination of an expressive sporting image, a hand-signed autograph and artist-designed presentation gives the work a strong visual identity and makes it a significant collectible connected with Ukrainian and Olympic sporting history.

The authenticity of the signature is confirmed by an international certificate of authenticity.
